How it works under the hood
SkyTools pulls bazaar data straight from the Hypixel API every five minutes and keeps snapshots so you can look at trends across 1-hour, 24-hour, 7-day, 30-day, and 90-day windows. Each item shows current instant buy and sell prices, order volume on each side, the spread, and the spread as a percentage. A weekly moving average tells you whether an item is trading above or below its recent norm, which is usually the call you actually want to make.

Bazaar trading basics
New to the bazaar? The first thing to understand is the gap between instant trades and orders. Instant buy grabs an item at the lowest sell order. Instant sell dumps an item at the highest buy order. The difference is the spread — and the spread is where flipping money comes from. Placing your own orders instead of going instant usually saves you real coins, especially on items that move fast enough to fill in minutes.
Mayor elections and updates move prices, sometimes a lot. Mining mayors flood ore supply. Farming mayors boost crop yields. Events like Spooky Festival or Jerry's Workshop create spikes in specific items. Looking at the price history chart before a known event lets you buy materials cheap and sell into the spike. The 1.125% sell tax is already in every margin you see on SkyTools, so the number on screen is the number you keep.

Prices come from the Hypixel API and refresh every few minutes. Snapshots are saved every five minutes so you can analyze trends across multiple time windows.
What is "spread"?
The gap between the instant buy price and the instant sell price. Wider gap = more potential profit per flip, but you also need volume so your orders actually fill. SkyTools shows both the raw coin value and the percentage so you can compare quickly.
How do I find good flips?
Open the Top Flips tab. It ranks items by margin and volume. The safest picks are usually 100,000+ daily volume with a spread above 3%. High spread on a dead item is a trap.
Can I set alerts for specific items?
Yes. Bazaar Alerts let you set price thresholds on any item. You'll get a ping when it crosses your buy or sell target.
What is the bazaar tax and how does it factor in?
Hypixel takes 1.125% on instant sells. Every margin you see on SkyTools already has that subtracted, so the number on screen is the number you keep.
How do I read the price history chart?
Blue line is instant buy, green is instant sell. Toggle between 1-hour, 24-hour, 7-day, 30-day, and 90-day views. The shaded gap between the lines is the spread. Recurring dips are usually good buy points.
